Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • Optional toppings: sesame seeds, poppy seeds, dried herbs, sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Add the olive oil to the dry ingredients and mix well.

  4. Gradually add water, a little at a time, until a smooth dough forms.

  5. Divide the dough into two equal portions. Roll out each portion on a floured surface until very thin.

  6. Transfer the rolled dough onto the prepared baking sheet.

  7. Score the dough with a knife or pastry wheel to create the desired shape and size of crackers.

  8. Brush the dough with olive oil and sprinkle with your choice of toppings.

  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the crackers are golden brown and crispy.

  10. Remove from the oven and let cool completely before serving.
