How To Make Homemade Ketchup

No need to go to the groceries when you run out of ketchup. Create a homemade ketchup by using common ingredients in the pantry. Grab those tomatoes and go!

Ingredients

  • 6oztomato paste,can
  • ¼cuphoney,or agave
  • ½cupwhite vinegar
  • ¼cupwater
  • 1tspsugar
  • ¾tspsalt
  • ¼tsponion powder
  • tspgarlic powder

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a medium saucepan over medium heat; whisk until smooth.

  2. When it comes to a boil, reduce heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring often.

  3. Remove from heat and cover until cool.

  4. Chill and store refrigerated in a covered container.
