- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp of baking powder
- 1/2 tsp of baking soda

- 1/3 cup of vegetable shortening
- 1 cup of buttermilk

Add in shortening and blend with a pastry cutter until mixture forms pea-sized crumbs.
